What is Cupping?

Cupping therapy is an ancient form of alternative medicine in which cups are placed on the skin to create suction. The suction can help to loosen muscle tissue, encourage blood flow, and relieve pain. It is based on the principles of traditional Chinese medicine and has been used for thousands of years to treat a wide range of conditions, including back pain, muscle soreness, arthritis, and respiratory problems.

Cupping is typically performed using glass, plastic, or silicone cups, which are heated to create a vacuum when placed on the skin. The cups are usually left in place for 5 to 15 minutes, although the exact duration may vary depending on the individual and the condition being treated.

Cupping therapy is a non-invasive and relatively painless procedure that is used to treat a variety of physical and mental health conditions. In addition to helping relieve pain and muscle tension, cupping therapy is also believed to improve circulation, boost the immune system, and promote relaxation.

Currently I do not charge extra for cupping like many places do. If you would like cupping added into your service, be sure to communicate that to me preferably at the beginning of the session.
